Terms, and the honest disclaimers

Short, because there's nothing to hide in the fine print. These terms cover using this website; the work itself is governed by the itemised quote you receive at your door.

Guidance, not a quote
Everything on this site, including the Reading tool and the guides, is general guidance. It can't see your door. No prices are published anywhere on this site, on purpose, and no figure, verdict or suggestion here is a quote, a diagnosis or a promise of work; those come only from an assessment at your door, in writing.
The Reading tool
The tool maps common symptoms to their common causes. Doors are allowed to be uncommon. It never prices a job, never promises a fix or a time, and its one firm instruction stands regardless of what it reads: springs, cables and bottom brackets are under load and are never DIY. Every reading ends the same way, at the enquiry form, with the note it built for you sitting in the message box, visible and yours to change.
Safety first, always
Nothing on this site is an instruction to repair, adjust or test any part of a garage door yourself. If a door is jammed, crooked, or came down with a bang, keep people and cars clear of it and get it read professionally.
Imagery
Some images on this site are illustrative, stock or generated, and don't depict specific completed jobs, specific premises or specific people. They exist to show the kind of work and the kind of place, honestly.
Brands
Door and opener brand names, where they appear, are their owners' marks, used only to describe categories of equipment. We claim no dealership, accreditation or affiliation with any maker.
Your consumer rights
Nothing here limits the guarantees you hold under the Australian Consumer Law. Work is quoted before it's done and done with due care and skill, which is what the law asks and what the trade should have offered anyway.
This site
Content may change as the trade grows; links to outside sources are provided in good faith and their content is theirs, not ours. If something on this site looks wrong or out of date, tell us through the form and we'll fix it.
